Rohingya Food Programme

The Situation

Rohingya’s are the worst off communities in Bangladesh, residing in the refugee camps that are densely populated. After Rohingya’s migrated from Burma due to the atrocities against them, majority of them settled in the refugee camps in Bangladesh. The Cox Bazaar camp is one of the world’s most densely populated and unhygienic refugee camps in the world.

It is estimated that 868,000 Rohingya’s are in urgent need of assistance.

The Solution

We currently have two different programmes to help the Rohingya’s.

  1. Feed a Rohingya family (on average of five members) for less than £2 per day
  2. Feed a Rohingya by donating a food basket worth £50. The food basket is 90kg and in it we add basic food items such as rice, sugar, lentils, milk, oil etc.
